Thornwisp – Grass DPS

In-game bio: “Thornwisp loves to cast a menacing shadow, taking pleasure in watching Tatari get scared and scatter. But on cold nights, Thornwisp will secretly extend branches to shield sleeping Tatari from the wind.”

How to use Thornwisp

Deploy Thornwisp in the back row, behind a Tank or Guardian, so it can fire the whole lane. As a Grass Tatari it should face Rock Zobos and avoid lanes with Fire Zobos — the game shows a green thumb when the match-up is right. Its skill hits an area, so it likes lanes where Zobos bunch up. Thornwisp is T3 — the line gets its full kit at Chomperwraith, so treat this form as a stepping stone.

Tier verdict for the Budboo line (A): Grass DPS added Jul 29, 2026 with venomous-seed Poison AoE; community Horde builds already centre on it at skill level 7. Provisional A.

Budboo line Horde Invasion skills

In Zobo Horde Invasion every Tatari learns three extra skills at Horde levels 3, 5 and 7; they are shared by the whole Budboo line (only the base skill differs per form).

BaseBud Venom: Shoots a seed to deal single-target damage. Sometimes shoots a venomous seed to deal small AoE damage and inflict Poison.
Level 3Bitter Bane: Has a chance to apply 1 stack of Bane when inflicting Poison. Also has a chance to deal small AoE damage when applying Bane. Bane is a stackable lingering effect that deals damage continuously over time.
Level 5Shade Spray: Periodically launches 5 shadows to deal single-target damage and apply 1 stack of Bane. Shadows will pierce enemies with Bane.
Level 7Shadow Bloom: Summons many shadows to deal large AoE damage, inflicting 1 stack of Bane and doubling the enemy's current stacks. Prioritizes attacking bosses.

Horde verdict (A): Newest Grass DPS: level 5 shadows stack Bane, level 7 "Shadow Bloom" doubles Bane stacks for large AoE — community Horde builds already centre on it. Provisional.
