Frugantuan – Grass DPS

In-game bio: “When the giant dragon fruit ripens, it releases a sweet aroma that can spread as far as a hundred meters. Floating in midair, Frugantuans treat every corner reached by the scent as territory.”

How to use Frugantuan

Deploy Frugantuan in the back row, behind a Tank or Guardian, so it can fire the whole lane. As a Grass Tatari it should face Rock Zobos and avoid lanes with Fire Zobos — the game shows a green thumb when the match-up is right. Its skill hits an area, so it likes lanes where Zobos bunch up. It applies crowd control, which buys time for slower damage dealers behind it. Frugantuan is the final form, which is where the line's rank is judged.

Tier verdict for the Frugling line (S): The go-to Grass DPS: exploding fruit clears clusters from the back row, and the T4 Frugantuan carries Aura: Grass. Pocket Gamer pairs a fully upgraded Frugling with Cheerling at the top of its list.

Frugling line Horde Invasion skills

In Zobo Horde Invasion every Tatari learns three extra skills at Horde levels 3, 5 and 7; they are shared by the whole Frugling line (only the base skill differs per form).

BasePuffruit Pop: Launches a prickly pink fruit that occasionally explodes, dealing AoE damage.
Level 3Bomb Chain: Attacks have a chance to fire an extra exploding fruit that deals AoE damage.
Level 5Quick Slice: Attacks have a chance to fire extra regular fruits, which continuously deals large AoE damage on hit.
Level 7Fruit Rain: Rains down a torrent of fruits toward the front, dealing AoE damage.

Horde verdict (S): Level 7 "Fruit Rain" drops a torrent of exploding fruit across the front — one of the best wave-clear ultimates in the mode; Pocket Gamer's top pair with Cheerling.
