Surgehoof – Lightning DPS
In-game bio: “Raised with a clan deep in the mountains to stay safe from the outside world, Surgehoof has no social experience to speak of. Attempts at kindness from Tatari are often misread, and bursts of electricity send them running. The result? Growing loneliness.”

How to use Surgehoof
Deploy Surgehoof in the back row, behind a Tank or Guardian, so it can fire the whole lane. As a Lightning Tatari it should face Water Zobos and avoid lanes with Rock Zobos — the game shows a green thumb when the match-up is right. Surgehoof is T2 — the line gets its full kit at Boltallion, so treat this form as a stepping stone.
Tier verdict for the Zapuni line (B): Lightning DPS with splash that punishes Water enemies; official guide: "not recommended without sufficient progression".
Zapuni line Horde Invasion skills
In Zobo Horde Invasion every Tatari learns three extra skills at Horde levels 3, 5 and 7; they are shared by the whole Zapuni line (only the base skill differs per form).
| Base | Zap Wave: Fires a shock wave that splashes on hit. |
|---|---|
| Level 3 | Jolt Trigger: When dealing damage, there is a chance to trigger a follow-up lightning attack on the target. |
| Level 5 | Bolt Chain: Summons small bolt orbs to continuously activate chain lightning. |
| Level 7 | Volt Horn: Launches a lightning-attracting horn. Upon hit, the horn continuously summons lightning strikes in that area, dealing small AoE damage. |
Horde verdict (B): Official guide: "Not recommended without sufficient progression"; level 7 "Volt Horn" calls repeated strikes on one area.
